So I’ve been keeping a secret for a while now… it’s hard for me to share. One, because I don’t know how I feel about everyone following my lead and two, because it might be slightly embarrassing (well not really because I’m pretty dang proud but still).
Are you sitting down? Yes? Ok, ok are you ready for it??? Idk if you are… ugh fine I’m done being annoying.
Here it is…
I buy clothes from Amazon for like $5. I can’t believe I got that off my chest. Yes, I know some of you may either be thinking “cool I do it too, big deal?” or “I’m gonna stop reading this post now because this girl is over-dramatic” OR you want to know more!!! I’m hoping for the last one, L O L.
If you know me at all you know I love online shopping, buying clothes I really don’t need, and getting compliments on my outfits (because after all, don’t all of us girls dress to impress other girls?).
So you ask, “when did this (amazon) buying habit start?” WELL, last summer I wanted this Urban Outfitters dress SO BADLY.. but every time I went to buy it, it was sold out. Also, it was $100. Yes, I was willing to spend the money… but I finally gave up after it sold out for the last time and wasn’t going to be restocked.
This summer, the thought of that dress popped back up into my mind and I started looking around the realms of the internet clothing world and somehow ended up on Amazon. I found the dress or a “dupe” of the dress for effing $12… like what?? From there I started clicking on other super fashionable, knock-off clothing and then before I knew it I had like 6 items in my cart totaling $30. I prime mailed what I could and basically said a little prayer the clothes wouldn’t smell weird or be a tiny child’s size.
Of course, to my delight but my bank account’s demise the clothes fit, didn’t smell like plastic, and were actually high quality-ish. I say ish because some of the stitching is sketchy on some items but not like “fall apart while I’m wearing it sketchy” ya know what I mean?
Side note; my favorite trend this summer is off-the-shoulder tops so it’s no surprise that some of my favorite finds have been O-T-S shirts, bodysuits, and dresses. This shirt below rocks!
Also, MAJOR TIP when purchasing from Amazon obvi some sellers can rip you off, so be sure to check out the comments from other users. Always a plus when other girls have posted pics of themselves in the outfit!
If you’re a fellow cheap-clothing-Amazon-shopper then holla in the comments about some of your favorite purchases! I have been dying to order some bathing suits but am a little nervous to pull the trigger.
